Our employability programmes, which include work experience, mentoring and careers events, enrich students’ understanding of the world of work and develop vital employability skills such as communication, teamwork and problem solving, which are a necessity in today’s economic environment.
Students are supported to make informed choices about their future study and career options by meeting and working with business professionals and gaining hands-on experience of real life job roles.
For students, contact with the business world can be hugely motivating, boosting their confidence and self-esteem, and encouraging them to engage with the curriculum and achieve better exam results.
Events where our students can meet with businesses are invaluable they allow our students to get a real insight into the reality of the world of work and it can really raise their aspirations and motivation to succeed.
